How we judge

We take the prices UK IPTV services publish, work out what each one costs per month at every plan length, and rank on that.

Almost every IPTV provider says it is the cheapest, and for one billing period some of them are. The number that decides whether a subscription is worth having is what it costs per month over the term you actually keep it, and the headline price rarely tells you that on its own. Doing that sum, service by service, is what this site is for.

Where the figures come from

Every price, plan length, connection count, trial term and channel or on-demand figure on this site is taken from the service's own published plan pages. We divide each term's price by the months it buys, set the four services side by side, and score them on those published figures with the weights shown on the scorecard. Setup guides follow the instructions the app and device makers publish.

What we do not claim

We do not run long-term stream tests, time buffering or measure picture quality, so nothing here tells you how a service will behave on your broadband at eight o'clock on a Saturday. That is what the 24-hour trial is for: use it on your own line, on the device you watch on, at the hour you normally watch, before you pay for anything longer than a month.

Pricing the renewal, not the offer

An introductory rate is only true once. The four services in the table each list a single price per term, so the figure we quote is also the figure the next term costs. Where you see a discounted first term elsewhere, ask what the second one costs before you compare it with ours.

Where the money comes from
